Coping Together started in July 2013 by two friends, Michele Hartman and Nan Hasting. Both have been touched by cancer in two very different ways. Michele’s late husband, Randy Hartman, battled cancer for over 20 years and Nan is a two-time breast cancer survivor.
After researching and talking with cancer professionals both women quickly discovered there wasn’t a cancer support group in the North Strand of Myrtle Beach. Both decided to form a non-profit support group and thus “Coping Together” was formed. Because cancer not only affects the patient, but it also affects the people around them.

In 2016, Coping Together officially became a non-profit organization and is recognized as a 501 c3. All donation are tax deductible and all funds go right back into the local community to help those affected by cancer. To learn more about how to receive or give a donation to Coping Together please email CopingTogetherNorthStrandSC@gmail.com.
